The Geauga Suicide Prevention Coalition is pleased to announce an evening meeting on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at the Geauga County Board of Mental Health and Recovery Services office.
This evening meeting is being offered to make participation more accessible for community members whose work schedules prevent them from attending daytime meetings. As the coalition continues to expand its community engagement efforts, we recognize that some of the most valuable ideas, perspectives, and solutions come directly from the people who live, work, and raise families in Geauga County. By offering evening meetings, we hope to remove barriers to participation and create more opportunities for community members to help shape local suicide prevention efforts.
Attendees will have an opportunity to learn more about the coalition, hear about our recent suicide prevention initiatives, and share ideas about how we can continue building hope and strengthening prevention throughout Geauga County.
Everyone in the community is welcome to attend. You do not need to be a counselor, mental health professional or representative of an agency to participate. The coalition welcomes residents, family members, people with lived experience, professionals, organizations and anyone who wants to support suicide prevention in Geauga County.
Your voice, experiences and ideas matter. Suicide prevention is a community responsibility, and lasting change happens when people from all backgrounds come together to identify needs, share solutions and support one another. Whether you have personal experience, professional expertise, or simply want to make a difference, we invite you to join us as we work together to create a safer, more connected community.
