Free Training

Geauga County Suicide Prevention Coalition

Suicide Prevention Foundation. You can help change this by calling the Geauga County Suicide Prevention Coalition to host a free Suicide Prevention training. The Coalition’s Speakers Bureau will tailor a training for your organization that will help you recognize the warning signs of suicide risk and where to go for help. Trainings can be done in:

* Schools * Doctor’s Offices
* Community * Places of Worship
* Workplace * Senior Organizations
* Court System

The Geauga County Suicide Prevention Coalition is one of many local suicide prevention groups across Ohio that use education as a powerful tool for reducing suicides. As more people understand the reasons why those in emotional distress turn to suicide as an option and know who to call to get immediate help, preventing suicide becomes an attainable goal. Trainings range in length from 20 minutes to 2 ½ hours, depending upon the individual organization’s needs.

If your organization would like to join this effort, or if you would like to schedule a training, please call 440-285-3945 or email mdoehring@mhageauga.org.
