Neighboring Mental Health Services is a 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization committed to giving the highest quality mental health services available today. Neighboring offers a wide-range of services and information on behavioral health issues.

Located 20 miles east of Cleveland in Mentor, Ohio, with another office in Geauga County, Neighboring offers psychiatric psychotherapy and vocational rehabilitation services as well as support groups for a variety of human service needs.

LEARN EFFECTIVE WAYS TO "untwist" your thinking, "break out of bad moods quicker", "strengthen relationships through better communication"

This 13-week therapy group will meet on:

Fridays from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.
The group will be limited to 10 members.

PLEASE NOTE: Before joining a group, intake procedures, including a diagnostic assessment, must be completed.

Mentor Office Walk-in Intake Hours are:

Mondays 9:30 am-5:00 pm
Wednesdays & Thursdays 8:30 am-3:00 pm.

Duel Recovery Anonymous (DRA) Meeting

Dual Recovery Anonymous (DRA) meetings will be taking place at Neighboring, the former Heisley Road Cafe, 5928 Heisley Road in Mentor. Please call for further information.

Dual Recovery Anonymous was established in 1989. It is a self-help program for those who experience a dual disorder of chemical dependency and a psychiatric illness. Its sole purpose is to help men and women stop using alcohol and other intoxicating drugs and learn how to manage their psychiatric illness in a healthy and constructive way. The above DRA meeting takes place weekly. It is an 'open' meeting, meaning that family members, professionals, and other interested individuals may attend.

Eligibility

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Severe mental disability or
  • Referred by a contract agency

Neighboring provides to the Geauga community:

  • Support, education, socialization, and vocational rehabilitation to mental health consumers, their families, and persons in crisis or transition
  • Licensed professional staff
  • Medicaid certification by the Ohio Department of Mental Health
  • Accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities
