Lake Geauga Training Committee
The Lake Geauga Training Committee was founded
in 1984 by a group of professionals throughout Lake and Geauga
Counties who worked with adolescent substance abuse problems.
The group formed to be able to provide those interacting with
youth and opportunity to learn about substance abuse in our
youth and ways to help prevent further problems. The group
focused their efforts toward teachers throughout both counties
and over the years has trained well over 2000 teachers.
The group has a number of workshop designs
and has modified them to provide high quality training at
a low cost. The group is also available to train in group
facilitation skills for professional's in the mental health,
substance abuse and educational field.
The last few years the Lake Geauga Training
Committee has developed a workshop design that can fit into
most educational and professional's busy schedules. The "Education
Ensemble" is a collection of three hour workshops offered
over a period of three days. Participants can choose one,
two or have the option to attend all three days. Cost varies
upon the number of workshops they participate in. The Committee
searches for the best in our area on a variety of topics that
cover the entire arena of adolescent issues.
Contacts for further information are in Lake
County, the Lake Geauga Center at (440)942-6722 or in Geauga
County, Wally Waldbauer of the Educational Service Center
